NFTs are More Than Images, and Web3 Is More Than Crypto

Without incorporating the speculative characteristics of cryptocurrency, Web3 platforms and technologies like END, Uniswap, and One Inc. provide the foundation that can help a business flourish. Digital things are soon gaining the same value as tangible goods.

The mirror allows writers to build a following by producing written content. The revolutionary distinction between Mirror and other platforms is that Mirror also enables authors to tokenize their work, effectively turning each article or entry into a digital collectible.

Writing-based NFTs are used to support the writer and the writer’s work.  They are not collected with the expectation that the token would increase in value, unlike art-based NFTs, which frequently have a speculative element.

What Writers Can Expect from Mirror.XYZ

1. Mirror offers three crucial pieces of support for authors.

1. The layer 1 (or base) blockchain, known as Ethereum, allows for the tokenization of articles. Additionally, it enables you, the author, to interact with your subscribers in a gated Telegram group.

2. Optimism is an Ethereum blockchain-based layer 2 networks. Optimism lowers the gas costs associated with recording transactions on the Ethereum blockchain. It also enables authors to set a “buy” price for any content they produce.

3. Arweave, the worldwide, decentralized storage network where Mirror’s content is kept. It is likely the most important of the three infrastructure components for two reasons.

First, if you upload content on WordPress, it is stored on a server and may be vulnerable to censorship or outright removal by a third party. Since Arweave is decentralized, your original article is constantly accessible.

Second, because your content is accessible as a token, any curator can publish it on their website while still giving you credit and allowing you to profit from the shares and collections that arise from this.

2. How Mirror Boosts Reliable Content

As the amount of internet information on any subject expands, a conventional search engine is required to sift through the content and locate what you’re looking for.

It’s becoming more and more challenging to locate reliable sources of information due to the overwhelming amount of online content generated daily.

People are turning to trusted curators, such as friends, family, or well-known media figures, to further rate search results as the volume of online material rises.

Everyone can see who has collected every piece of content on Mirror. Using the Collect function, it is very simple to see which content your reliable sources support.

How to Write and Post an Article on Mirror

Working with Mirror is a lot like working with WordPress. Your article is created in Napkin, Google Docs, or another linkable writing tool. It is then uploaded to Mirror. Alternatively, you might use Mirror to create your content.

Before adding your photographs, the content will need to be formatted for headers, lists, and other features (similar to how WordPress requires formatting). Additionally, you can use metadata, change your permalink, etc.

Typos can be fixed because the article is on the Arweave block graph rather than a blockchain, in contrast to the mint fee and limit. When you’re satisfied with how your piece looks, you decide how much it will cost to mint it as an NFT. 500 NFTs will be available for free by default on Mirror.

Until someone mints them by clicking the Collect button, the articles you post on Mirror aren’t actually NFTs. Every item can be read and accessed for free. Mentioning an article by gathering it makes it easier for the user to obtain it. It also lets others know that the user values the information it contains.

Choosing the Mint price point

Be careful while setting the mint price because after it has been added to the blockchain. You won’t be able to change it later. The average article costs 0.01 ETH, but if you have an audience for that price point, you can charge anything from nothing to hundreds of thousands of dollars.

Additionally, you can restrict the number of times the article can be minted as an NFT. Again, remember that the restriction you set cannot be altered.
